Friends of Manatee Lagoon hosted more than 200 guests and raised more than $176,000 for vital seagrass restoration projects at its sold-out “Soirée for Seagrass” event on Saturday, November 12 at Manatee Lagoon – An FPL Eco-Discovery Center®. Guests enjoyed seagrass spritzers , a silent auction, photos with Mia the Manatee, and remarks from special guest Jessica Harvey with Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation, FPL’s Vice President of External Affairs and Economic Development Pam Rauch, and Event Emcee WPTV News Channel 5’s News Anchor Jay Cashmere.
